Kyrgyzstan OVOP felt items are made from 100% pure merino wool. This wool is taken from the exquisite Merino sheep, which are raised at high-mountainous areas with clean water and fresh air. The secret of merino wool’s softness is its exceptionally fine fibers, the diameter of which range from 11.5 microns to roughly 24 microns, considered to the finest and softest in the world. The significant feature of Kyrgyzstan felt products is the use of only natural dyes from local growing plants such as esparcet grass, apricot leaves, madder roots, walnut leaves… that makes exquisite and delicate color.
